About Us
Wykeria
Wykeria’s Dance & Performing Arts Studio began with an artistic vision to inspire and train individuals in the art of dance, and to have an establishment that not only supports dance but includes music and theatrical performances as well. Wykeria Clark comes as a decorated veteran in the art of dance. Dancing since the age of 6, she is experienced in pre-ballet, intermediate jazz, hiphop, and contemporary dance. She has choreographed many dance routines for a number of organizations in the Birmingham, AL and surrounding areas. While doing so, she has received Superior ratings. Her most recent endeavor has been coaching the Minor High School Tigerettes where she has led them to several incredible feats including, most recently, an invitation to compete in the 2022 National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Florida. Over the years she has been highly recommended and has hosted many private lessons to help enhance the skills of many dancers. Wykeria is now taking a step further in the dance world to open the opportunity for individuals who want to grow in their passion in a safe and professional environment. Wykeria believes in the “No Dancer Left Behind” approach and offers many affordable class options to suit the budgets of many. She believes that no dancer should not be afforded the opportunity to develop their passion due to affordability.

Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire, transform, and create healthier lives through the art of dance, music and theatrical performances throughout the community by fostering inclusion, respect, self-discipline and social awareness through the arts.
Classes Offered
Pre-Ballet
Introduction to the art of ballet. This class teaches the basics: posture, coordination, balance, technique and flexibility.
Creative Movement
A free form combination of ballet and contemporary dance moves including, but not limited to: jumps, turns (pirouettes) and modern dance moves.
Dance Girl
This class is designed for school age girls who desire to train and audition for local dance teams.
Hip Hop
Fun, energetic class that includes urban and contemporary moves.
Private Session
Private training sessions of preferred listed style of dances.
